About Mediocre Mom

I started this site as motivation to spend more quality time with my kids.  You will rarely find really elaborate things to do here.  That is not my forte.  I find that big crafts and activities can be lots of fun but at the end of the day you are exhausted and chances are you were so stressed about completing the project that you weren't the nicest mom along the way.  Also, I ask my kids every day what their sad time of the day was and then ask them what their 3 favorite times of the day were.  It is very rare that their favorite time of the day was the big, exhausting activity that I did with them.  In most cases their favorite part of the day was playing with me, reading with me, or snuggling with me.  What our kids really want is our attention.  Sometimes we just need someone to say, "you should take the kids to the park today" to get us moving and that's what this site is for.  Also, my spelling and grammar are...well...mediocre.
